5 ways coaching can create positive change in your life

Have you considered coaching because you’ve heard it can change your life? You may have questions, concerns, or recognize that you require assistance with some of your goals, but are still stuck in many ways.

So you’re interested in coaching and want to learn more. But, before you do, you want to know how coaching can help.

Here are five life-changing ways coaching can help you:

Coaching helps you gain clarity

A major pillar of coaching is discovering how to identify exactly what you want out of your life, relationships, business, or career.

The thing about life is, whenever we aren’t happy or fulfilled, we sense when something is missing. The key to change is determining what exactly is missing.

A client I worked with was dissatisfied and unfulfilled, but couldn’t figure out why.

As we worked together, she realized what was missing; motivation. We figured out, why she was doing what she was doing, why it was important to her, and how it helped her achieve her overall goals.

After we determined what she actually needed, we could develop a plan for acquiring it.

Coaching is solutions-focused

Coaching builds on what you already have;the lessons learned from previous experiences and the realities of your present life.

You learn to live wholly with everything you carry, to let go of what you can, and to move into your future with confidence.

With coaching, you will be defining and taking progressive and exciting steps to change your life and future right away.

In coaching, we create an actionable plan for change

After establishing that my client required more motivation, we addressed how she could get it.

Addressing her “why” changed everything for her, unlocking new levels of creativity and self-awareness.

We worked out what new mindset she would need to adopt and set up accountability measures for her in the plan that we co-created.

She also decided how she would celebrate the completion of her project.

She knew that staying accountable, reflecting on the impact her project would have, and having something to look forward to would keep her energy and excitement levels high.

Coaching provides you the support to create your own solutions

Imagine what you could achieve if you were not judged and received all the support you needed…

Coaching allows you to think freely without fear of being judged, corrected, or reprimanded.

In fact, a trained coach, will not tell you what to do. Instead, they will reflect your thoughts back to you, allowing you to hear how they sound when spoken aloud.

You have the freedom to fully engage your creativity and explore new levels of thought freedom that you may not have encountered in other settings.

Coaching will keep you accountable

Accountability is an essential component of coaching.

Coaching will assist you in defining the outcomes you require as well as the steps required to achieve these outcomes.

I follow up with my clients on action steps they agreed to in previous sessions to achieve their goals. We establish self-accountability and other accountability measures outside of the coaching context.

We also develop contingency plans to ensure that the goals are met despite any challenges that may arise.

Imagine what it would feel like to finally change that thing in your life that has been keeping you stuck!
